The Gel Technology Difference

Mucoadhesive lubricating gel technology designed to increase contact time on the ocular surface to support penetration and drug delivery without BAK.1-4

FACILITATES

low-dose bimatoprost penetration without BAK1,5

DESIGNED TO INCREASE

contact time on the ocular surface, staying longer1,2

APPLIES

with a unique patented gel formula that allows delivery as a drop1,3, 4

Inactive ingredients: Carbomer gel (mucoadhesion and hydration), sodium acetate trihydrate (fluid consistency), polyethylene glycol 4000 (gel stabilization)1,3,6

Preclinical data support drug delivery without the use of preservatives7

PRECLINICAL SAFETY

Preclinical in vitro chart comparing corneal penetration and ocular tissue exposure between preservative-free bimatoprost gel and comparator formulations.

Preclinical study methodology: Pigmented rabbits received a single topical dose of preservative-free bimatoprost 0.01% gel, bimatoprost 0.01%, or bimatoprost 0.03%. Ocular tissues were analyzed to assess pharmacokinetic parameters.7

AH=aqueous humor; BAK=benzalkonium chloride; ICB=iris ciliary body; PF=preservative-free.
